Welcome, to Tiny Tigers
Age range: 3 - 6 years
Tiny Tigers first opened in 2009, and since then, it has been adapted in various ways to meet the needs of all children.

Central Karate Academy has a tailored made grading system specifically for this class and this is also reviewed by Early Years specialists. Your instructor, Sensei Jake, holds a qualification in Child Development to ensure that our Tiny Tiger syllabus and lessons are specially adpated to meet the 4 development needs of a child; physical, intellectual, emotional and social aspects.
The lesson consists of a warm up, followed by a variety of karate stances, blocks, strikes, kicks, punches and kata. Tiger Tigers also get the chance to partake in sparring and this is delivered in a variety of ways; focus pads, prearranged sparring drills, freestyle sparring and a lots of other different activities to provide children with multiple ways to learn.

Tiny Tigers have an adapted grading syllabus where they are able to earn merit badges for a variety of techniques they learn - these are called badge days and are held every month. The syllabus also includes how to help develop younger children with their gross motor skills and this is adapted into the traditional Shotokan karate.

Tiny Tigers also get the opportunity to use foam noodles as a B.O. to help prepare them for future classes (Juniors and Seniors).
